Mack dropped his first single “Just Rhymin'” as a teenager. He was featured on a 1992 remix of “You Don’t Have to Worry” alongside Mary J. Blige. Mack’s debut studio album, Project: Funk da World, was released in September 1994 by Bad Boy and Arista Records. The album charted at #21 on the Billboard 200 and #6 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It was led by the singles “Flava In Ya Ear”, “Get Down” and “Making Moves With Puff” featuring Puff Daddy. The single “Flava In Ya Ear” peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for a Grammy Award for best rap solo performance. An official remix featuring The Notorious B.I.G., LL Cool J, Rampage and Busta Rhymes followed. The accompanying music video has been viewed more than 15 million times on YouTube.
Mack’s second full-length project, Operation: Get Down, arrived in June 1997. It was released on the labels Street Life and Scotti Brothers Records. While not as popular as his debut, the album received some positive reviews. It was supported by the singles “What I Need” and “Style”. Mack was featured on the single “Wooden Horse” for the soundtrack to What’s the Worst That Could Happen? (2001). He later appeared on Diddy’s We Invented the Remix (2002). His mixtape, Operation Why2K?, was released in late 2012. It was hosted by B-Eazy. Mack’s third and final album, The Mack World Sessions, was released in September 2017.
