The Best Sheep & Wool Mods For Stardew Valley FandomSpot

Publish date: 2024-07-11

While cows and chickens might be the bread and butter of the livestock scene in good old Stardew Valley, sheep play an important role.

They’re cute, they make good noises, and most importantly, they produce wool as a resource for all sorts of crafting possibilities.

Without wool, there’d be no new clothes in Pelican Town – seeing as how Pierre can’t be bothered to stock them.

But if you’re tired of the vanilla sheep, then check out these mods for something a little different!

9. K’s Sheep Replacers

Are you sick of all of your sheep looking the same?

Are you having trouble differentiating between Baarbaara and Sheep Shot?

Suffer no more, with this comprehensive sprite mod.

It offers fourteen new variations of sheep colors and markings.

With nice reds, browns, blacks, and whites, you’ll have a much easier time telling your sheep apart! No more pesky clicking on the same sheep four times.

The brown spots are especially adorable, in my opinion. You have to check it out, if only to look at the little babies!

8. Cuter Fatter Sheep

If you saw my article on Stardew cow mods, you already know what’s coming here:

Cuter, fatter sheep!

You’ll be able to bulk up your cute little sheepies in a Harvest Moon style.

The result is some adorable.

They look totally chunky with their little legs sticking out – I bet that produces some pretty top tier wool, too!

If you love Harvest Moon (which I know a lot of you Stardew Valley fans do), then this mod is absolutely worth a peek.

7. Suffolk Sheep Recolor

Check Out This Mod

Suffolk sheep are a breed from England that came from breeding Southdown sheep with Norfolk sheep, and originated in the eighteenth century.

That takes a lot of work – but downloading this mod doesn’t!

If you want to add the quintessential white puffy bodied, dark faced sheep to your game, here’s your chance.

They’re super cute, and I really like how the art style matches perfectly with Concerned Ape’s.

It’s a simple recolor, but it’s a great addition to the game!

These would go really well if you had a European inspired farm, too.

6. Alternative Sheep Colours

Ok, forget a realistic European farm.

Want a green sheep?

This is how you get a green sheep.

You see, there’s gamers that like realism. There’s gamers that like themes, like fairycore or farmcore (which is kinda a given with Stardew, TBH.)

And then there’s gamers who just want things to be as chaotic as possible, and that’s where multicolored sheep come in.

If a pink cow gives strawberry milk, will a pink sheep give strawberry wool?

Download to find out!

5. Black Sheep & Void Sheep Replacer

For those witchy spooky gamers out there, may I present: void sheep.

We have void chickens, hellish beings that lay equally hellish eggs; villagers hate them.

Why just chickens? I want a whole void farm.

These cute sheep of death would go great on the Spooky Farm.

Can you imagine? They’d be the perfect livestock, they’d blend right in with the slimes and skeletons.

I wonder what void wool would do… Cloak of darkness? Fabric of evil?

If you’re a modder, go ahead and use that idea guys. This one’s on me.

4. Pink Sheep

Baa, baa, pink sheep, have you any wool?

I sure hope so, because this pink sheep is super cute and I’d definitely want a scarf made from its wool!

This puffy & chunky cutie would make such a great addition to a fairycore farm.

I don’t know if fairies keep sheep. But if they do, I think they’d definitely want them in pink.

It’s such a romantic color.

And this sheep would be really nice if you kept the barn near your flower gardens, too!

3. Cotton Candy Sheep

Check Out This Mod

Speaking of fairy sheep, holy cow!

Or should I say, holy sheep?

This adorable cotton candy themed sheep design comes in four sweet-swirled color options:

You’ll definitely find something to fit your farm.

It would be super cool if they produced different colors of wool, too!

These would be so perfect beside a meadow of grass and a flower bed with fairy flowers, don’t you think?

2. Sheep with Horns

Check Out This Mod

Don’t you think it’s a little strange how none of the sheep in vanilla Stardew have horns?

Most sheep IRL, both male and female, have long curling horns.

They’re made out of keratin, which makes them basically the same thing as human fingernails. But I digress…

This mod replaces the default vanilla sheep with cute horned sheep.

Just one way to shake things up a bit.

1. Flaaffy as Adult Sheep

Check Out This Mod

Here’s a Pokémon-themed mod for you fans!

This one changes the sheep in your game into Flaaffy – and also changes pigs into Slowbro.

Flaaffy is a Pokémon from the second gen Johto games.

It’s actually a sheep, colored pink with fluffy bits of fur around its head – like a lion’s mane.

But interestingly, it’s an electric type – do robots dream of electric sheep?

This mod is definitely for the Pokémon diehards, so if that’s you give this a try – along with maybe a few other Stardew Pokémon mods.
